C'est Paris

Random, fleeting moments, images...

The Boy Scouts (or French version thereof) in the Jardin du Luxembourg...

A bride on the street...

A wonderfully dapper gentleman setting up his stall along the Seine...

Sunday morning at the Marche des Enfants Rouge...

Break time for a classic waiter outside of Les Deux Magots, hiding his cigarette for the photo...

Paris, day and night... always

Sunset, The Louvre, a glass of red wine, what
more could one ask?

Classic, I think of Audrey Hepburn in Carousel, or any one of the myriad of films with that flavor of Paris at that time, the boat pond at the Jardin du Luxembourg, the children with their sticks...

Formal, geometric serene gardens of another era...

La belle Tour Eiffel, as viewed during a magical boat ride along the Seine...

Another angle, a different perspective of The Louvre...

Notre Dame, the spectacular...

Rose Window of Notre Dame, awe-inspiring.

Synagogue. Services on Saturday afternoon, women upstairs, men down, all joyous and celebrating...

This woman is filling up her water bottle at one of the fanciest water fountains I've ever seen

Eeerie, gorgeous, amazing

Food, especially the patisseries, the croissants and baguettes - fantastique!

Lacy, wrought-iron balconies, such elegance and grace, the eternal buildings of the streets of Paris

For Susan...

A view down the street where I spent this spectacular weekend...

I said that I was in Love - with London - but I'm fickle.
I love Paris even more....

  1. I'm glad to see that you are really getting to see a lot on this trip. Marie just came back from Paris. It is raining here in L. A. and I accused her of bringing the weather back with her.

I am also very curious about how the class is going. My email is jewhitten@yahoo.com in case you would prefer to comment privately.
